I captured this glowing Colorado sunrise after taking a steep, early-morning hike to the mountains looking over Crater Lakes. The moment the sunrise peeked over the horizon and the light began to beam over the alpine valley below, I knew the trek through Roosevelt National Forest was worthwhile.
Looking to take the trip yourself? I highly recommend it if you're in the area! You can find the Crater Lakes trail near Moffat Tunnel and personally seek out these golden views. I'll guarantee that you won't regret waking up early for the sunrise, but sunset doesn't disappoint either!
