The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Kyoto’s top sights and for good reason, like something out of a Studio Ghibli film, standing beneath these trees feels almost magical. Visiting the grove was one of the last stops on my list before heading to Tokyo. After taking the bus from central Kyoto to Arishayama, you walk along the river to the entrance of the Grove. It is a natural beauty that both calms you and excites you at the same time. It is extremely popular with tourists so getting a photograph without people in it takes a lot of patience and a fair amount of luck. After waiting for about 10 minutes there was a gap in the crowd, enough for me to get my shot!
